Rule changes effective September 16th, 2011 will make it possible to use the ACH network to collect NSF fees on certain checks.   As many of our clients are using paper drafts to collect these fees, switching to an ACH debit will have several benefits.

  • ACH debits are predictable in that we know when they will hit the consumers account and how long the FI has to return the item if it is not going to be paid.

  • They can be significantly less expensive than paper drafts, and the savings should be beneficial to your bottom line.

Those collection companies using our SQL software will be able to take advantage of the upcoming changes as our SQL software will be compliant with the new rules.  Those companies using our older .dbf version will not be able to take advantage of these new rules and will have to continue using paper drafts when appropriate.

Companies who wish to upgrade to Check Chase SQL will first need to be using (or upgrade to) our Check Chase Platinum software.   You will receive credit for the original purchase price of your current software when upgrading to Platinum.  Once you are using the Platinum version, the SQL upgrade is $10,500.00.  These prices include the conversion of your data from the .dbf format to SQL.  You will also need a SQL server to run this software so take this additional cost into consideration when planning your upgrade.

Check Assist will offer interest fee, 2 year financing to any company making the upgrade to SQL prior to August 1st, 2011.  Please contact Trina at (888) 436-5101 Ext 21 for additional information.
