Check Chase Online -
Frequently Asked Questions
|
|
How will I be
notified when a check has been returned?
The Check Chase Online system will send
you an email notice the same day the
bank uploads new returns to the system.
The new returns, as well as previous
returns, will always be available for
you to review via our 24/7 online
reporting system.
What happens to
checks that are not collected
electronically or are not eligible for
electronic collection?
Check Assist (or a Check Assist
affiliate) will provide free traditional
check collection services on these items.
Or if you prefer we can forward them to
your existing collection agency or to a
collection agency of your choice.
Hey! That’s a
good customer of mine! Special handling
required...
The Check Chase Online system allows you
to review new returns online and to
resolve or exclude any special customers
prior to the electronic collection
taking place.
-
Need to accept
payment at the store? No problem. Go
online, find the check in question,
and mark it paid.
-
Have a relative
or employee that constantly bounces
checks at your store? Simply tell
the software to always exclude them
from the collection process and to
notify you immediately if new checks
arrive.
-
Need to
manually set a specific represent
date to accommodate the needs of
that special customer? Also not a
problem... log on, locate the check
in question, and select the
appropriate date from the drop down
calendar. The check in question will
now be electronically redeposited on
that date.
What does it cost
to use Check Chase Online?
The Check Chase Online is offered to you
as a free service. There will never be
any charges, regardless of how often you
use the system. After the face value of
your check has been collected, Check
Chase Online will debit from the
consumers account an NSF collection fee
as set by the State where the check was
received. A percentage of this fee is
credited back to you to offset your
banks RDI fees and the remainder is used
to fund the operational overhead of the
software.
